The active editing workspace, switched via the left “spine” mode bar.
Two workspaces ship today: Scene (the default 3D dock) and ControlPlane
(the DCC / agents inspector). Future authoring workspaces (2D canvas, node
graph, animation, shader graph) will be added as they are built.
